Meet our New President
Dover Choral Society is delighted to annouce that Grenville Hancox MBE has accepted the post of President of the Society.

His belief in the centrality of music for a healthy and stable society led to research into the perceived benefits of choral singing, the co-founding of the Sidney de Haan Research Centre for Arts and Health and following leaving the university the creation of The Canterbury Cantata Trust (CCT) with its strap line of Caring through Singing. He has directed many performances in the uk, France and Germany exploring major repertoire from Ramirez Misa Criolla to Britten War Requiem. Grenville is the recipient of civic awards from The City of Canterbury and Folkestone Town together with an MBE for services to music. He is delighted now to be the honorary president of CCT, of Dover Choral Society and an ambassador for Kent and Medway Young Artists Trust. A performance of Haydn Creation on November 9th in the Colyer Fergusson Hall Canterbury marked his farewell to the Amici Chorus established by him in 2012.
